Shells:

Six Gun offers Maple and Birch shells (standard) in 6 and 8 ply. Thicker plies are available for snares. Exotic stave shells are also an option (Purple Heart, Oak, Ash, Cherry, Walnut, Bubinga, Zebrawood). Exotic shells are not reflected in our price list and require a specific quote. We also carry acrylics in various colors (see finishes for color options). Aluminum shells are available for snares.

Maple and Birch shells are available in the following diameters (in inches: 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28. Depths of shells can vary up to 24 inches deep.

Lugs:

Six Gun prefers Tube lugs because of their sturdiness, but we also offer Bowtie and Mini lugs. Custom lugs are also available (stars, hearts, crosses, etc).

Hoops:

Six Gun offers triple flanged, die cast, and wood hoops. Triple flanged come standard.

Mounts:

We highly recommend the use of DSS mounts for maximum sound quality of the drum. The fewer pieces attached to the shell, the better the sound and fewer errant noises. These are included as standard options, but if you would like something else, we can work with you to find the best mounting for your appication.

Strainers:

Six Gun uses quality products for our hardware. One component that we are especially proud of is the Dunnett Strainer. It’s the newest strainer out on the market, with a switch that rotates 180 degrees. This adds to the custom feel of a Six Gun snare, allowing our drummers to choose the positioning of the switch. This strainer comes standard on our snares.

The Trick Strainer is available as well as an upgrade.

Powdercoating Options:

Hoops, bass drum legs, vents, and lugs can all be powder-coated. We would post a chart of all the powdercoating colors we offer, but it would be too big. We can powdercoat pretty much any color you can think of. If there is a color you are not sure we have, just email us and ask if we can do it.
